Flood - September 2010

The remnants of a tropical storm soaked much of the east coast the last week of September.  Record rain fall was recorded in many areas.  In addition to the rain there was a southeast wind that pushed the water in the bay north and west. The pictures below were taken just as the water was beginning to subside.  You can see small twigs and other debris on the pier indicating that the water, at its highest point, covered the piers.

The water is just below the surface of the pier but you can see the finger pier (used to get on and off a boat) is under water.
